Rebecca Chesney's Melody 1, 2, 3 & 4 , 2015 and Urban Wildlife Observations, 2013-2015 will be showing at atelier Sangatsu, in Osaka, from Saturday and ahead of the install, we needed a bit of
technical equipment from one of Osaka's many electronics stores, and took the opportunity while we were there to make a site visit  and meet Sangatsu's owner Hara Yasuhiro.

Sangatsu information
atelier Sangatsu  is ostensibly Hara's studio, a small and intimate 2 storey, 3 room building situated right in the city's "old" town. Hara recently made the decision to open up his building to other artists, both as studio  and exhibiting space.

Hara was in the gallery - finishing a collage piece he is intending to exhibit in his upstairs studio alongside colleague and studio artist, Kioka Hidetoshi, also showing works as part of this show.

Rebecca Chesney's works will occupy the groundfloor space. Melody 1, 2, 3 & 4 , 2015 will be sited in the main space, with "blackbird" playing on open speaker reverberating through the whole space and seeping outdoors too. Urban Wildlife Observations, 2013-2015 will be shown in Hara's self-converted backroom bar space.
